Collections Part 3

This collection of mine is one I truly did not realize had gotten so out of hand. My lovely apron collection.  They are so easy to collect and come in so many pretty fabrics.  I would pick up a few from a sale, receive them as gifts, and get handed down special aprons that were in my family.  It was not until today that  I decided to take them all out to photograph them for my blog, that I realized I had enough for every woman in McLean county.  But who could resist such pops of color?  Obviously I can't.

Collections Part 1 &2

I'd like to welcome you into my world of little collections I started over the years.  Such silly things that have drawn my attention from time to time, and bring a smile to my face.  First stop is a relativily new collection I've started since Wolfgang's arrival.  Retro childrens books, filled with lovely art work and kitchy drawings.  The second collection is a variety of swimwear either gifted or thrifted for me.

Thrift Store Fix

Whoa!  A whole week went by without me going to one thrift store, but I did order a few things online.  So, while I was in the beautiful suburbs of Chicago visiting my parents, I wanted to visit one of my favorite thrift shops.  The Mecca of all junk stores, unique thrift .It offers a variety of goodies, and it certainly was generous to me this time around.
 Rainbow of blazers
 Linens.
 Sunshine yellow percolator.
 Old prom dress.
 Blankets.
 Wall of barbies.
Thrifting assistants.

And now for my findings.
