Textile Tuesday: Men's Socks

Happy Tuesday! This weeks textiles are from my pop's very own personal collection of colorful socks. I love how much my dad adores bright colors and patterns, and I think its even more fun how he chooses his outfits around his socks! And folks, this is only the tip of the sock iceberg in this mans collection, Enjoy!

A Golden Afternoon

I wish I could say this whole Golden Book theme for my friends baby shower was my brillant idea, but as usual  I am a design copy cat. Don't get me wrong, this is my interpretation of it, but the original idea came from the color Queen Pilgrim Lee. You can check out her amazing Aussie Golden Afternoon here. I really wanted to have this theme for my friend Jess, because when she got married her wedding was decked out with books and old school style library cards. Also, she's and English teacher, and loves books.  Here is a glimpse at my DIY work:

Special thanks to Sal Pal for letting us throw this shin-dig at her joint.

I have an Inkling

My family and I are have a very busy two weeks ahead of us, my husband is doing  a ten day study at the Illinois Holocaust Museum  in Skokie. Which means me and Wolf will be up in the Chicago area , hitting up some the shops we love. We went to the most adorable store yesterday, and I mean ADORABLE. The Inkling, is an amazing shop that supports local artist by holding a first Friday party and featuring a specific artist throughout the month. Since we missed the first Friday party for the  Little Friends of Printmaking, we popped in the Inkling to pick up a print and other goodies.

Picked up the Pee Wee print I have been longing for.
A few cute cards for specials friends.

Cheers,
Deb

Not able to make it to Chicago? No worries Inkling has an Etsy shop here. And of couse you can always purchase LFOP goodies here.

The Illustrated Home Garden Guide

My mom got me this amazing book at an estate sale for six bucks, totally worth it. The cover art is so so cute, and the simple informative illustrations on the inside are even more fun!

Textile Tuesday: Vans

Playing a bit of catching with the ol' blog since our little family has been MAJOR busy as of late. Here are a slew of my favorite Vans shoes that i am lusting over at the moment. I have really wide feet, so my go to shoes are Vans for both me and the Wolf.

All of these images were taken from eBay, where I found all these choices.

Old Maid 1958

I picked up this jolly set for a buck over the weekend at an estate sale, and thought you all would enjoy the cheeky graphics. I have lots of doodle inspiration floating around my head after seeing these babies.
