I have not been doing a lot of offical outfit post latley, since I felt like they were starting to get a little to "posey" looking. I do share real life daily outfits on the Iphone application Instagram, so here is a round up of some of my most recent.

Wall Art For The Wolf

We are still settling in to our new place, but I am hacking away at Wolfgang's room.   Finally decided not to paint the walls in his room (even though they are a lovely shade of Bloomington beige).  I figure that all the other goodies in the room will help counteract the blandness. Since, one of our favorite family activities trolling record stores, it was due time to displace some of the children's records we have collected.  At first I wanted to put all the records in fancy frames, but at twenty bucks a pop that was out of the question. So, cheap-o office clips it is! That way if we find records we like more, or just want to rotate current ones out, it's not such a big deal.  So enjoy our cheap-o record wall for Wolfgang.

Textile Tuesday: Psychedelic Wallpapers

Folks have spent many hours scraping and steaming off these lovely papers of the past, as for myself I wish I could have a different pattern on every wall. So enjoy this colorful collection of vintage wall coverings.

The Book Of a Zillion Typefaces: "Come Out!" Copyright Circa 1971

I recently watched the documentary Helveticawhich discusses the beauty and simplicty of the most popular font used across the globe.  I personally love fonts and and the processes of designing them.  I'm also deeply interested in how they  can set a tone for something before you even read it .  While collecting some vintage children's albums for Wolfgang's bedroom I came across this kooky non-denominational sing-a-long record that came with what appears to be an instructional manual.  This booklet would give typeface designers a heart attack because it is loaded with EVERY type of font that was popular during the 60's and 70's.  Good or bad? Or just a poorly designed record hoping to grab anyones attention with its Smörgåsbord of typeface.

Inside My Vintage Book Collection: The Sun Our Nearest Star 1961

I posted a few clips on Instagram and had so many peeps asking for more peeks inside this gem  that I figured it was time to share the rest.  This particular book is in my top ten of favorite all time thrifted books. It contains so many the elements of illustration that I adore.

This car is one of my favorites, many attempts of drawing my own version are in the works.
So much of this book reminds me of Mary Blairs It's A Small World Charles Eames Powers of 10 film.

Branching Out: St. Louis, MO

What an exciting weekend we had, all of us got to do some of our favorite things in different surroundings. In the middle of last week Papa of the house booked a hotel room for us, as a little family get a way...plus Arch Madness was going on and Pops was wanting to be around the hubbub of his ala mater.

Of course we stopped at all the little Goodwills along the way.

Mr.Eames has his own star in his hometown of St.Louis.
No trip is complete without a stop at some local record joints.
 CHOO CHOO!
There were plenty of road side gems to make my Instagram  feed happy.
